Our Story
Our Story begins with our love
               of horses
Julia Maclean  Mark's
 heritage is in Scotland.
The Duart Castle

is where her family clan originated.
Margo has roots going back to
Mary Queen of Scotland and
her family were the Queen's
Knights....a highly respected
occupation of the time and hence
the name remains  as a sur name.
Julia raised Arabians  and Margo raised Missouri Fox
trotters. One day we saw a picture of a Gypsy Horse
in an Arabian Horse World Magazine and decided to
research these beautiful horses. A year later we bought our first
mare, Gaelic Hope.. Then we bought "Troy" from Claudette
Griffith. Belladonna Brian'sLegacy....a beautiful black
blagdon son of Brian Boru. We recently lost Troy to a
malicious poisoning, April 11, 2009.
Hope has had two foals; Lalique and Aldebaran. We also
aquired Glory, a UK mare from the Freinny Stallion.
From 2007 to 2009 we co-owned the Fabulous
          Clononeen Brian Boru.
..
In October of 2009,we were able to aquire a Stallion from
                      Wild Creek Farm
A son of the Legendary Romany King....he is
                   WCF RK Rogan.
... a beautiful black and white tobiano.... who looks so much like
his sire. We are proud to own this lovely young stallion.

Our Vison is to breed for the work of art the Gypsy people
worked so hard to get... the classic large, heavy,
boned, of 14-2 -15 hands. with the ability to pull as they were
orginally bred to; and of course lots of feather and sweet tempered
gypsy horse.
We call our Ranch  " Dunrovin "  named after a
quaint village in Scotland. We came out to California from
Utah to get away from all the snow...........and settled in
Somerst....a woodsy  community in the Sierra Foothills with
vineyards and horse ranches.
